"These Are The Hands"
(Song being re-recorded, no link to play)

THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG:

5-2-03,  I was at a wedding and the pastor conducted what was called a "Korean Hand Ceremony." He had the B&G take each other's hands, look in each other's eyes and he said to each one separately, "These are the hands that will care for you, hold you..." etc. It was cool - I scribbled a quick note down and later came up with this.

I know that you’ve been hurt before
By a man who made demands
I know you’ve got the marks to prove
How he wrongly used his hands
I know you’re scared to take a chance
You can’t risk it any more
Let me ease your heart and say
What I’ll use these for

These are the hands that will brush away every tear
These are the hands that will never cause you fear
These are the hands that will guard you through the night
Hold you when you cry, wrap you up so tight
No matter what you’re feeling, no matter what you do
These are the hands that will always care for you

These lips will never lie to you
These ears will always hear
Here’s two eyes to see the best in you
And a voice you need not fear
Lay your head upon my chest
Let my strong arms hold you near
Most of all I swear to you
One thing’s perfectly clear

            (CHORUS)

Hold out your hands, take mine in yours
Feel the warmth that’s in them, all my love and more

            (CHORUS)
